January 6, 2020 Super pumped about the new year

So this week was really short because my last pday was on Wednesday. Not a whole lot to report on.

The biggest thing was that our convert Dylan (who was part of a gang remember) basically got thrown into the lion's den the day after his baptism because he went back to sodom and uh I mean Guate, to spend new years with his fam. We were so scared he was gonna go back to his old ways. But he got back at like Sunday at 2 in the morning. We showed up at his house at like 830. Woke him up and he went to church with us, had a temple recommend interview and then received the sacerdocio. So pilas. I asked him if he felt any different with the Espiritu Santo and he said UN MONTON. Which is chapin for yes. He said for that reason he didn't leave his house a lot of the time when he was in Guate. So that was comforting.

Also I'm super pumped about this new year and ven sigueme because well be studying the Book of Mormon. The lesson in Sunday school just about the intro and the 3 testigos was super good. I don't know how many people actually followed the program last year but if you did, well done. If you didn't, ve y no peques mas. I hope everyone knows how important the BOM is so I won't say a whole lot. But president nelson once said, "It's not enough if we know the Book of Mormon is true." If we're not actively studying and applying its principles were never gonna be able to benefit from knowing its true.

I know its true. About 2 weeks ago I finished again. I think I'm on like my 8th-time rn but saber. I'm reading the same classic chapters in Nephi that everyone's read a thousand times but somehow  I'm still able to find new things that touch me. It's so cool.

If you already have a testimony of the BOM, use that to take out the most knowledge and wisdom you can. If you don't have a testimony of the Book of Mormon, I invite you to read it and ask God if it's true. Not just read but actually study. All the way through, day by day.

In 2 Nephi 25:23 y 26 it says,
For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children and also our brethren to believe in Christ... And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

Parents have an important role in instructing their children. Sharing their testimony of Christ, and of the BOM. So that their children don't necessarily believe just in their words, but so they know where they can turn to so one day they can inherit the vida eterna.

Not just parents for their children but all of us have the same work. You don't have to serve a mission for two years. But you do have to constantly talk about Christ and share your testimony so everyone can know where to go to receive a remission for their sins and be happier. Don't wear spiritual camouflage.
