Week 3: One hermana left and I feel like the guy from Spykids cuz "I didn´t even get her email."

Okay guys I´m 3 weeks in. 

All Everybody left the mtc this morning except for my group of about 40 people. We get all the new gringos and latinos tomorrow and we´ll be the big boys on campus. It was kinda sad seeing all of my new homies just dip so fast and it´s just gonna happen again in 3 more weeks. Saying goodbye to my latino homies was probably worse cuz they were super cool and genuine and wanted to speak english with us and wouldn´t talk in spanish even if we did haha. One hermana left and I feel like the guy from Spykids cuz "I didn´t even get her email." But its ok cuz she was engaged anyway. Yeah ENGAGED. wack. We good though cuz missionaries aren´t allowed to have emotions. 

 

This week was so crazy and I don´t think I´ll be able to write it all or even remember it all. Today was a good day though. Our Pday was today because of the people that left and the newbies tomorrow and WE WENT TO THE ZOO! Yeah, wasn´t expecting that at all. So that was super fun and I forgot my camera so I´m a little livsauce. After the zoo we went to a market thing and we all bought panchos and hackiesacks. It was so fun because we got to barter in spanish and pretty much just talking to people in spanish was fun. We all look like squad tho with our panchos. After the market we went to wendys and that was amazing. Idk what was better, tasting sprite for the first time in three weeks or hearing the sweet voice of justin bieber for the first time in three weeks. I was very happy today.

So like I said I just love talking in spanish with people even tho I´m straight basura. Last week they sent us into the street to do some contacting. Like just short conversations with people so we can get their information and send local missionaries to teach them. Usually we dont do that until week four but we did it the day after week 2. WACK. I was so scared at first but as soon as we started talking to someone it all just rushed away and I felt this indescribable joy come over me. Obviously my spanish was really basic but we were able to get three contacts. There was a bunch of people set up by the mtc that were already members, but me and my comp went farther down and were talking to actual people, unintentionally. It was awesome tho and made me excited for the field. I dont mean to brag but my comps español is even more basura than mine so i was pretty much talking the whole time.

Something I didn´t think i would miss as much as i do is piano. I forgot all the songs that I knew how to play and I have a piano in my room and thats all I have to mess around with. I love the piano so much and all these talented people will just throw down and just make me wish I really learned how to play. Im learning, at least trying to learn how to read sheetmusic better. It´s coming super slowly but I´m also kinda learning how to freestyle so thats lit.

Soooo that was pretty much nothing from my week but I have no time to write and I´m a super slow typer sooo see ya next week.
