Week 11: But mom please never send me Blink182 church remixes

Sooo this week tbh wasnt super sick.

I don’t think I have a ton to say but I mean at the music is pretty sick. We’ve listened to spanish David Archuleta like 8000 times. That song slaps. But mom please never send me Blink182 church remixes.

Last week on pday we went to a market to get souvenirs, cuz my comps leaving in a week. That was pretty fun and he bought like the entire store. He had so much money cuz he bought pretty much nothing over the 2 years. After that we went to this burrito place and they have this challenge where you try to eat a 3 lb burrito in 30 min. Theres this wall of everyone thats tried and theres like 10 missionaries who’ve won and lost. My goal is to get up there someday.

On tuesday we had entrevistas (interviews) with the mission president and it went pretty good. He’s way awesome and super loving and said he was super impressed with my spanish. My comp said pres was talkin me up in his interview which tbh made me feel a little bit good about myself. Thursday we had a multizona and there’s two of them, so half of the mission goes to one and the other half to the other. It’s super sick and fun cuz you get to see tons of homies and just chill.

Presidente teaches us for a while and he said something that was pretty cool. He said miracles dont give you faith. Faith gives you miracles. Which I mean personally I think seeing an angel would increase my faith but obviously that w asn’t the case for Laman and Lemuel. And the people in Jesus’ time saw some pretty crazy things and still crucified him.

So yeah that was cool. I was also reading a talk later that day and it’s called the King Follet sermon by Joseph Smith. Straight Fuego. You can’t read that and tell me he wasn’t a prophet of God. So good.

Anyway not much else happened this week. My comp has 1 more week left so thats pretty weird. Literally every person we talk to talks about his time and then they want to feed us. Our ward is super pilas/faithful so we get fed everyday. We normally get fed almuerzos but this whole week we get cenas too cuz everyone’s whipped for Elder Nicholes. It’s kinda weird to think I’m just gonna get a new comp and then things will just go back to normal.
