Week 13 But being in a trio is lit

Ok so this week has been kinda crazy. We had a changes meeting on tuesday and that was pretty cool. I got to see a bunch of my homies, except literally all the guys Im tight with got transferred to the other side of the mission.

Theres two main places. Xela (Quetzaltenango) and HueHuetenango (WayWaytenango). We have multizonas once every cambio and thats when you get to see everybody. Everyone got transferred to HueHue and mi papi got transferred to his casa. That was sad. Mainly cuz I got a new comp. Hes a gringo. Nothing too bad honestly and I can deal with it for 6 weeks.

On thursday though, there were emergency transfers and so presidente put someone with us while he figured out a new comp for him. He was supposed to leave the next day but he never did. Then we saw presidente at church and he told him he was gonna stay with us. So we in a trio now. Im actually pretty hyped about it. Hes not necessarily my best friend but hes chill and definitely makes things better and enjoyable. He's from honduras.
When I first got here we had a rule where you can speak english in the house but had to speak spanish in the street but they changed it when they changed the music rule. Its impossible to talk with gringos in spanish. My new comp, even though they changed the rule kept trying to talk to me in spanish cuz it would help me and fr it was rough. But now that we got a latino we only talk in spanish all day and I kinda do it without thinking. If we’re with latinos i can talk to gringos in spanish and yes, it is helping.

But being in a trio is lit. Also this week we put a fecha for the 8th of feb. Its with an eternal investigadora. Shes accepted a fecha two times before and both times they fell so, shes gonna need your prayers mucho. Her name is Cecilia Arreaga (Yeah thats right Elder Nicholes. Cocodrillo frfr).

Its kinda weird cuz Im still in my training but for this past week and probs for the next few Im pretty much the senior comp because Im the only one who knows the area and the people. So I have to plan the day and show them places and what not. Also do a lot of the talking which also helps my spanish a lot. My gringy comp tiene 7 months and mi latino comp tiene 21 but he’s like super laid back and says like hardly anything unless we’re in an actual lesson. So yeah its calidad.

Heres my house btw. Def not the cleanliest but from what I've heard from other elders its a pretty good house.
