Week 23: This week was awesome. Fue absolutely locisimo. Super busy and just great

Wow. This week was awesome. Fue absolutely locisimo. Super busy and just great.

I mean I'll talk a bit about conference later, but just to start off I wanna give Elder Uchtdorf a shoutout for calling all you inicuos out for not membermissionaring good enough. I have come to the conclusion that contacting doesn't work. At least not nearly as well as referencias from members.

We've been here for like 9ish weeks knocking doors and just talking to people and it works well enough. We get people to talk to and what not but we always ended up dropping them. I think I mentioned the two people that came to church last week, but two families brought people with them to church. Also, my branch is one of the most unhelpful branches-wards out here, but just we put fechas with both of these investigators two days later. Just after two lessons.

Back to Elder U. I like what he said about how everybody needs to be a missionary. Which everyone says but really the members are the ones that make the difference not us. Just say something. If it doesn't work, who cares. You're job isn't to convert, just to share. Also do something. Invite to church or activities or something. When investigators have relationships in the church, it makes them a lot more receptive to the message.

Anyway on to the week. So Tuesday we didn't do a whole lot but we had a cita with Moises. Then we put the fecha. We were super pumped after. Wednesday we went to Nenton because we couldn't go on Saturday. That day, Ernesto asked us if being tired was of the devil. Pure man. After that we went to our investigator that lives a good hour away from us. Then we put another fecha. We were pretty excited tbh. After that we went to HueHue because we had a multizona on Thursday. Super long day of traveling. We slept in a place called Zaculeu where theres mayan ruins. I haven't seen them but they're there. Its a house with 4 elders and one of the AP's was with them. So we had 7 sleeping in that house. It was kinda a party.

Then we had the multizona. It was super good. Presidente and the APs were cookin up some good stuff because they had a lot to teach us. It's also nice to see all of your homies again. After we had to hurry and catch a bus to Santa Ana. And we happened to catch the last one that went there. It was awful. We thought the bus would  be nice cuz it had individual seats but the two girls in front of us had their seats back all the way. I couldn't feel my legs. Also a bolo was leaning on me the whole time.

Friday I cant remember tbh.

Saturday was awesome. Conference in the mission is pretty much SuperBowl status. At least for us it was. We bought snacks and a pizza from the only pizza place for hours, but its super expensive. It was worth it tho.

Sunday was super awesome too. The other missionaries found out we watched it in English and they all have Latino comps so they all came here to watch it with us. So it was a party. The talks were all super good too. Especially President Nelsons. That man is a legend. Honestly though, you can just feel that he's really the profet of God today. We all lost our minds when he just said, "Times running out."

Really tho, super good day. It was kinda disappointing because there was a lot of rumors going around so we all thought there would be a huge announcement.  Anyway, til next week.
