Week 24: Six Months

This week was a good week.

First, on Wednesday we went to this appointment but the girl wasn't there so we were walking trying to think about what to do and I thought we should find this guy named William. We talked to him a few weeks back but we forgot about him. But we had no idea where he lived or his number tampoco. However, right as we said his name, the guy pulled up to us on his moto. He told us to come over so we did just that. The guy's awesome. Super crazy tho. Like he actually has something wrong with them but idk what. He is however super talented musically. He plays the guitar and the accordion and it was super awesome. He let me play it. Anyway the man absolutely loves us and so vamos a ver where that goes.

We had a cita with Moises just to kinda prep him for the bautismo. We're supposed to have contact with them everyday the week before. So we just read the palabra with him. He had a hard time reading and keeping commitments but we read first Nephi 1 with him and told him to read 2 the next day and we'd read 3 with him the next day. When we came back to read chap 3 with him, he told us he accidentally read to chapter 6. He acted so sorry and it was awesome. So yeah, for all you people out there that have a hard time reading, it's not only true, it's interesting tambien.
Saturday we went to Nenton. We kinda said bye to the people there in case one of us has cambios. It was sad. Especially Ernesto cause he's so awesome.

So that night we were feeling pretty good because the baptism would be the next day. But we got a call from the lady that was gonna be baptized and said that the dress didn't fit. At like 10 pm. So we were very stressed. We called a lot of people but nobody had clothes in our zone. Turns out that the dress was the right size, she just didn't want to wear it. We didn't figure that out until it was time for the baptism the next day.

So Sunday we had the baptism. We had it on Sunday because Ada lives with this family like an hour away and the dad is super super sick and so he can't travel a lot. So we got permission to do it on Sunday so that he wouldn't have to have to travel two days in a row.

Anyways, we had another problem. Moises didn't show up to church, because his famil'ys super inactive. So we had to find him. Then on the way back we found out that the ward went to the spot without us and that it wasn't the spot that we wanted to go to. But it was a lot closer and we had a lot of people that didn't want to walk.

There was a lot of misbehaved kids and so even the servicio was kinda stressful, but it was awesome tambien. The best part was that night, we went to Moises house to follow up. He told us that he wanted to go on a mission. Then he prayed to send us out and it was so good. He said stuff like, I'm so happy, I never thought I could be baptized, plz help the missionaries so that they can bring this happiness to others and that someday I can too. It was so awesome.

Ada is super awesome too. She lives like an hour away and always kept her commitments. She also really wants me to take her daughters to the states. Which will not happen. I can promise. She's super cool. Moises is super cool. But that prayer made my night.

So today we did absolutely nothing for pday. Oh yeah, and we have another 6 weeks here in Santa Ana. So we played basketball for a while with our buddy Fredman. Oh yeah and the best thing happened last night. So this Fredman is like 6 years old and is actually the cutest thing ever. His parents don't like us a whole lot, but he loves us. Anyway he lives behind us and we have these two skinny windows at the top of our room. So last night we were sitting on our beds talking when all the sudden, we heard like tapping on our window. So at first we were startled but then we found out, it was just Fredman all along. He climbed up a ladder and talked to us for a bit. He also told us he did it the night before and watched us sleep. So kinda creepy but also its Fredman, so its all good. We played ball with him for a bit and then we ate lunch at the Chinese place. We only have two restaurants in town. A torta place and of all types of restaurants, a Chinese one. Super weird but we eat tortas like everyday so we decided to spend a bit of pista (dinero(money)). Other than that we didn't do anything fun today and we've just kinda been sitting around the house. Super boring. Well I'll see you next week. Or at least I'll type you. Lol
