Week 31: The rainy season has officially started and its pretty awesome

Buenas tardes a todos. This week has been a pretty good, interesting week. Idk if my mom forwarded my emergency email on Tuesday but I guess I'll summarize it.

Tuesday we woke up early and left from Hue Hue so we could get to Xela by 7. But we hit a dumb protest and our bus couldn't get through. So we had to walk like a mile or two with all our suitcases. I despedired E. Hinckley and got my new comp E. Garcia. He's pretty cool. He's Chicano so he's from Utah but has two latino parents. Already speaks Spanish entonces. He's a pretty cool guy but he doesn't talk. Like at all.

Because of the sick protests we couldn't get home so P. Diaz got us a hotel. We couldn't work so we got our pday switched to that day. Kinda lame because Xela's lame and now we don't have pday today. We were allowed to write though but other than that its just another regular day.

Wednesday we woke up tempranisimo and took a super long bumpy route around the protest. We ended up back in our area at like 1.

I'm not gonna give a play by play this week. Mainly cuz I don't remember but also because nothing super awesome.

This week has been super good contacting wise. I've never had so many good contacts in my mission and I got them all just within a few days. Two of which are two 14 year olds. They're pretty cool and always are asking us to play soccer and when we're doing activities and stuff. We had a lesson with them up at the church and after I found an old Jesus the Christ book. Kinda nasty looking  and had scribbles all over it.
I was going to toss it in the oficina or something but then I thought Ernesto might like it. I gave it to him and he was so happy. He wanted me to like write a note in it and I felt kinda awkward cuz it was such bad quality. I told him i could find him a new one but he said he wanted that one. So I wrote a little something and gave it to him.
He also gave us a drink made from sugar cane from his ranch. Its like pure sugar and super sweet but not too shabby. Then he roasted my comp for not talking and it was kinda funny.

We had another activity for jovenes. We just had a little bonfire. We played games and had snacks. It was pretty fun. I talked about Elder Renlunds talk about fire, prayer and blessings.

Sunday the Viejitos that know mam came to our rama to kind of set it in order and I think they did a good job. P. Wayner seems a lot more focused. We also had that Gudiel come to church. I can't remember if I talked about him but he's the guy that can't hear. So we picked him back up an investigator.

I think the rainy season has officially started and its pretty awesome. It rained almost everyday last week. Not a whole lot but just a little here and there but there was always clouds so we didn't die of heat. Also fireflies have started to come out. Up by our friend Tonys house away from the city they're everywhere and its super pretty.

Other than that, thats pretty much up for me. Til next time entonces.
