Week 36: July 15, 2019: " I hit that internal celebration button so hard"

HOLA:  It's been a while. A lot has happened. We'll start from last week.

So I got the call saying I had changes and hit that internal celebration button so hard. The only problem was I had to pack and then leave at 4 in the morning. So that was rough. Then on Monday we spent the day with Las Flores like we normally did. There was a guy from the ward that took us to a mercado and then to eat. He served here like 8 years ago and served in Santa Ana Huista and married a girl from there thats family  with a super cool family. So we had a lot to talk about.

Tuesday we woke up at 3 to get to Xela at 7 for the reunion de cambios. Its always super lit when we have big meetings. Because we get to see all the boys. That was cool but at the same time sad cuz this was the first time I actually had ties to people going home. One en specifico was Elder Soloman. Buena onda. Will be missed. My new comp, Elder Garcia tambien es buena onda.  We get along really well. He's older than me but he feels like my kid. He's from Peru and wants to learn English super bad so I'm helping him out with that.

I'm in an area called La Esperanza or the hope. It's outside of Xela but more its still part of Xela basically. Its city but it's still pretty cool. The ward is super pilas. The guy that lives next door, or above us, cuz he's renting us his house, is the buenaest onda. So sick.

We have a lot of really good investigators. Its super weird. But super nice.

On Friday I had a lider meeting because I just got called as district lider. I think DL is the most overhyped position in the mission. We don't do a whole lot except take data and teach lessons in district meetings. But presidente told us that nonetheless, it's still a calling del Señor and it shows his confidence in us and also presidentes confidence in us. So that was pretty cool.

We had a fecha for this next Saturday but our investigadora didn't come to church because the catolicos are spreading lies and giving her fear. She's also 75 and doesn't remember anything so she didn't pass the interview. So we moved it for the next one and I think we'll be good. We're teaching the fam of her daughter and they're super positive too. The other weird thing about my area is that the people actually understand what we teach and they like ask questions. It feels nice.

Monday we played soccer as a zone. It was pretty fun. After we went to the Marbles house. It's been a long time since I've visited but it was nice. She made us breakfast burritos. Rico. Then we went to Walmart. Yeah, Walmart. Civilization. That was also super weird to go into. Now I'm writing in the church. The computers are very nice.
Aight peace out.
