Week 32: This daughter of God also could've played linebacker for the Patriots

So last week after writing we had a super good lesson with a guy that I mightve talked about before. He cant hear like at all. He can hear a bit though. We tried yelling and he just wasnt understanding and so we ended up just reading the pamphlets we have of the lessons and it actually worked pretty well. He thought it was pretty awesome when we told him Jesus came to the Americas. Which is the reaction everyone should have here but no one really cares. But yeah that was cool.

The next day we had a zone meeting in Colotenango. Apparently a 70 came and spoke to all the liders and so they told us what he said. It was pretty good. Hyped us up and talked about the fe a lot. Then we got new phones. Their still trash little nokia phones but these ones are way worse and everyone hates them but de plano.

Wednesday was super weird because for the whole week it had been raining and cloudy and super rico but wednesday was sooo hot and there wasnt a cloud in the sky. I wanted to die. Then at like 4 we went into a lessson and like 10 minutes in we noticed it was raining. We looked outside and there was a river running down the road. When we left, in like 1 second we were completely soaked. So we ran to our house and by our house it was the worst.. It was pretty awesome though and it all happened in like 45 minutes then all the water was gone. Then it rained lightly for the rest of the night. Then that night we had a pretty awesome lesson with the deaf guy. His names Gudiel. We went to the church and used the whiteboard so we could ask him questions and stuff and we wrote like a huge diagramm of the 3rd lesson, the gospel of JesusChrist. It was pretty cool and he said he wanted to get baptized but he couldnt commit to a date. After that we havent had contact with him and he didnt go to church so yeah now we kinda sad.

Thursday we went to Xela for a meeting for my comp cuz hes new. We had to leave at 11 and we got to xela at 6ish. There was also a mudslideon the highway that stopped our bus for like an hour. It sucked but while I was waiting the bus became an oven. So I did some scripture study on the roof of the bus. It was awesome. Super pretty too. We were in this super cool canyon and since its been raining more everythings looking more green. I left my camera in the bus and I was too lazy to get it and take a picture. When we got to Xela we went to the temple to stay the night. I stayed in a room with only latinos but they were all super cool and now I can actually speak spanish so it was actually pretty fun.

In the morning, we woke up at 430 so we could do a session in the temple at 6. That was pretty good. After we went and a meeting for all the nuevos. Then we made the journey back. We left at 2 and got there at 9. We got seats on the bus, but it filled up really fast and a very nice, choice daughter of God sat next to me. This daughter of God also couldve played linebacker for the Patriots. Every turn I got smashed into the wall while she slept on me and her son slept on my lap. He was like 12. But it be like that sometimes.

Saturday we went to Nenton and it was pretty good. Kinda the normal tho.

Sunday the familia Villatoro, the fam that gave us the last reference that got baptized, brought another super positive reference to church. Just he came but he has a family and he said he liked everything. Later that night we talked with a different guy that we play soccer with. Or who we used to play soccer with. My new comp doesnt want to. Anyway this guys pretty cool. Hes super young probably like my age at most but we found out he has a kid and wife hates us. And when I say wife I mean novia, or girlfriend because no one gets married here. She apparently doesnt like us because she goes to the seventh day adventists that believe the sabbaths on saturday. He listened to the missionaries two years ago and we explained to him the restoration bien thoroughly and he liked it.

So yeah we have some pretty good investigators rn and i feel pretty content.
