Week 39: August 5, 2019: A dream come true, my comp ordered McDonalds.

Hola fam.

Tuesday we didnt have lunch so we made a dream come true for my comp and ordered mcdonalds. Yeah they have delivery. Free. Basically every restaurant here has free delivery and its pretty nice. Every restaurant except little ceasars:/ After that we talked with a lot of people. We met this one girl that was pretty cool and was actually pretty interested. She was waiting for the bus though and she left before we could get any info. Triste. After that we talked w my girl Sandra. Shes super cool and spilled all the ward beef. We met this one girl in a tienda and contacted her left her a pamphlet with our number on it, the usual. She didnt seem that postive so we left and didnt think a whole lot about it. That night we went to Chuisuc and I got a call from her. She told me I left my libro de mormon, she asked if I was gonna come get it but I just said it was actually a gift for her. She sounded super excited and I asked her if she would read it and she said she already did a little bit but didnt understand anything so we she said we could come back the next day. As we were walking home that night a bus stopped and the one girl we contacted got off right in front of us.  We got that numero. Milagros.

Wednesday we had a multizona. It was just like all the rest. Saw the boys and what not. The mensaje pres gave us was all about prayer and it was pretty interesting. He said one of the reasons were not seeing success is because we’re not praying right. He said that a lot of the time we dont get blessings because we dont ask, but we dont think of the times that we dont get blessings because we ask in the wrong way. In the 2 nefi 32:9 it says we have to pray always and not faint and before we do anything first pray. Then it also says in Moroni 7:9 that if we pray without real intent its like we never prayed at all. The challenge is to pray always, but in a manera that is passionate every time. Ive been working on that and I can really feel the difference. After we went to talk with the girl from the tienda. Her name is Genesis and she has 20 anos. It went super well.

Thursday we had a cita with a super inactiva lady. She woke her up and it looked like she had a crazy night. Her house was a wreck. The house itself wasnt that bad but it was super super nasty. Tortillas, beans, diapers on the floor and like a million flies. She blamed the whole thing on her son and went on like a 20 min rant about how malcreado he is. Then her son came in. Hes actually super cool and he was just chillin w us while his mom tried to fix some things. She told us to come back the next day. It was pretty intense tbh. We talked with a menos activo, an investigadora and a lady we contacted thats actually a member from years ago but goes to the catholic church. All three of them basically just wanted to vent all their problems to us. So we just listened basically.

Thursday we were in an alley and there was two jovenes walking toward us. When the guy saw us he started to get super affectionate with his novia. Very affectionate and unnatural. I think he wanted us to know whos territory we were in or something. So I decided to contact them. It was the most awkward thing but it was super funny. THen I gave them a chastity pamphlet. Later that night we went and got tacos with my boy albert next door.

Saturday we had lunch with sandra. She served her mission in honduras and learned how to make flour tortillas because thats what they eat there. Here its only corn tortillas. So she taught us how to make them but mine never turned out as good.

Sunday was super busy. We had tons of citas. We also had two lunches. So temple and mission chef lives in the ward next to me and actually just moved into my ward but every fast sunday she makes lunch for all the surrounding areas. I didnt know that and so we had a lunch already scheduled but they didnt give us a whole ton of food, and you know how it be on fast sunday, so we went to her house. She has pisto. Mucho money. And she makes really good food. After we went to visit references with a super pilas member. She contacts people in the bus and on the street and sets appts for us to go visit them. So that was cool and helpful. After we went to visity people with two kids that are preparing to go on missions. After that we went to this one familys house and theyre also from honduras. We made tortillas again and I was able to do it a little better. Also it rained the whole day and my feet were soaking pretty much the whole time.

Monday was pretty fun. We went to this place called la laguna chikobal for our zone activity. We met up and went to this place way up in the mountains. We rented a bus and the bus is supposed to take us like half way up the mountain and then like a jeep takes us the rest of the way. But the bus didnt even make it up the hill. We heard him pressing the gas but nothing happened and we started rolling down the hill slowly, even with the e brake on. So then like half of us hoped out and we went the rest of the way and then he went back to get the rest. Then we got in the jeep thing to take us the rest of the way. The road was super bad and the guy was a super crazy driver. The wheels kept slipping and I really thought we were gonna fly off the cliff. But in the end we made it. La laguna was super cool. A long time ago it was a volcano that blew its top off and made a crater. Then it filled with water. It was super cool because it was super foggy and looked super cool. After we went to a place called Del Puente. Its a place that makes super good hamburgers. Almost american. Now were writing so bah.
