Week 49: October 14, 2019 . Then she started to cry and made me feel like satan.

It's been a good week. Last week I got my brace taken off and so Ive been able to walk around a bit more normally. My knee is still pretty debil so going down stairs and inclines still hurts a little but de plano.

Last monday when we got back to the area we had a lesson with the familia poz pocol. Basically everyone in zunil has the last name poz, pocol, chay, zapil, sop, quiej, xic and carrillo but different combinations of 2. So kinda hard to remember whos who sometimes but this fam is a recent convert, her mom and her sister. They're super cool. They've been investigators for 6 months but the sisters super close.
I just wanted to figure out whats taken her so long but I couldn't figure out anything because she never tells us anything. She just says idk. So we read about the espiritu santo and how to recognize it, then mosiah 18 where it talks about requisitos to do it, and then we brought out the dagger. Dyc 39 7’10… James covel. We switched out his name for hers and had hr read. When she finished we asked her how she felt. Just kinda normal, [bien[ or [saber[. Then we asked what she liked and she was just kinda acting the same not giving us anything but then she was like, [I kinda like this part that says…[ and then she just started bawling. The scripture says, thou hast see great sorrow for thou hast rejected me many times. She said that was super true to her. Then it says basically that he's giving her another chance all she has to do is get baptized… but she wouldn't do it. She kept saying she didn't know and it was pretty hard because we cant force her. We've provided all we can, the spirit did its job, now its just up to her to see if shell listen.

Wednesday we had zone meeting. It was pretty good. Learned some stuff. Then we came back and had lunch. We only have one family that fijo gives us food here and its on wednesday. So that was nice. Then we had a noche de hogar en the house of family poz pocol at 6. Nobody showed up til like 645. The branch president showed up at 715.

Jueves we had another lunch but it was from a member in cantel, the other town where the branch is. They live in an aldea out in the middle of nowhere. But the lady was super buena onda and was apparently like best friends w the elder who I replaced so it was kinda awkward at first. We went to estancia de la cruz again. The ride was super pretty, again. W had some huevos with the fam there. We came back and had a little lesson with a contact and her daughter. Super positive. They're not going to a church and idk they were just positive. After we went with a contact my comp and his old comp had hace tieeeempo. So we went back with him. He's like 20 and is studying to be a doctor and is a pretty cool guy.

Friday we had a lesson with a reference our zone leaders gave us like a week earlier. She like came to find us and showed us her house which never happens with references from other missionaries. She's also super super positive.

Saturday we went to an activity for dia del nino. A holiday for little kids. So the primary had an activity and we set it all up. It was actually a pretty good activity and was probably the most organized i've seen in my mish. They had a pinata and I was the one moving it up and down and what not. A 6 year old girl went to hit it and I yanked it up and so she missed. Then she started to cry and made me feel like satan.

Sunday we had 5 investigators show up. All eternal. So not super positive but its progress. At night we had another really good lesson with ana. We explained the restoration a little bit better and showed a video about the first vision. I'm thinking we just slow down on baptism talk and get the doctrina super solid and if it still doesn't work then we can bring out all the big guns.
