Changes! 2/03/2020
So we woke up at 430 right. I wasn't feeling too hot. I threw up a few times and somehow made it to Xela without dying.
The changes meeting is always pretty cool. They go through all the areas and have your photo in your area and then with a crazy slideshow effect appears your new comp. So there's always suspense. We got to zona quiche and I was crossing my fingers and then my picture popped up. To say the least. I was Feliz. The problem was, usually quiche, momos and huehue rent buses because its lejos but this time the zone didn't do it so we had to walk our fat maletas to the terminal and then take the terminal bus all the way to quiche. I've ridden a lot of crazy buses in Guatemala but this one was the craziest. Flying around corners, over speed bumps and around other cars and buses. I thought for sure our maletas flew off. But somehow they survived.
Im in a place called Santa Cruz del Quiche. Its kinda like the capital of the state of quiche but its still just like a little city. Way bigger than I thought it was gonna be. I always imagined it like an aldea but its actually huge with Mcdonalds and supermarkets. My comp is Elder DeLeon. Hes a chapin from the capital, zona 6. Hes pretty chill. Not the most alive missionary in the world but we work. Im in a house with two other missionaries too. One from brazil and one from peru. There both pretty cool so we have a pretty good time.
I got to the area and I asked if we had any good investigators and he said no. I asked if we had ANY investigators and he said no. Any positive people?. No. Those were three of the worst things I've heard in my mission. They didn't have anyone to teach. So it was a pretty long week honestly. A lot of contacting. Not a whole lot to report.
We found one less active lady that has a little girl that's not baptized. We got them to come to church and she felt good to get back to church so we're gonna work with them. We also live right behind the soccer stadium so on Saturdays if we get on the roof we can see a tiny bit of the game through the patch of trees.
This week we have a lot to do and I'm hoping we'll see more success.

P.s. Today we went and played soccer as a zone. It was pretty fun up until I destroyed my knee again. It happened in the same place as last time. I've kinda just been hanging out all day. Tomorrow we have to go to Xela anyway for consejo de lideres so I'm gonna go to the doctor and see what he says. Also, I have so many pulga bites I can make a constellation.
